Campbells Bay Tennis Club is one of the North Shore’s top tennis destinations, and we’re thrilled to have been recognised as 2023 New Zealand Club of the Year, 2023 Tennis Northern Club of the Year, and 2024 Harbour Sports Club of the Year! This year, our Men’s Chelsea Cup team lifted the trophy for the fourth time in the North Shore’s elite tournament - proof of the talent and passion thriving at our club! Located in the stunning Centennial Park, Campbells Bay Tennis Club is home to around 450 members, plus over 150 non-members enjoying our coaching programmes. Our courts see a lively mix of casual players, interclub competitors, and community visitors soaking up the park’s natural beauty. Our mission is simple: bring people together through tennis, inspire a love of sport, build friendships, and boost community fitness. That’s why we offer a packed calendar of events, including Senior and Mid-Week Ladies club sessions, Junior Club Night, major interclub competitions, and comprehensive coaching programmes for adults and juniors alike. Our clubhouse also doubles as a vibrant events venue for the wider community. We’re proud to partner with The Game (formerly Kiwi Tennis), a professional coaching team dedicated to helping players of all ages and abilities master the fundamentals of tennis. Their approach is simple, effective, and fun, perfect for anyone looking to up their game. Our committee of 13 volunteers is always innovating. This year, we launched an Adults’ Beginner Social Session on Fridays, open to non-members for a casual fee, along with in-school coaching at Campbells Bay School. Initiatives like these are designed to grow our membership, strengthen our community, and keep Campbells Bay Tennis Club at the heart of local life for years to come.
How your support helps us
In a competitive market it is important for us to create a welcoming, comfortable and safe environment to both attract new members and retain existing members. Like many sports clubs we operate on a very tight budget. This was further exacerbated by Covid-19, and more recently, a decline in the ability to access grant funding. Our sponsors help us maintain our facilities to ensure everyone who plays at our club is safe. Over the past five years we have resurfaced all courts, installed LED lighting and this year we have renovated both bathrooms. This would not be possible without the support of our sponsors.
